I’m afraid I had a very bad experience with Sparkling White Smiles. I had previously ordered a thin acrylic guard 3 years ago, and everything went OK. But a few months ago, I re-ordered, and absolutely nothing went right. The guard did not fit teeth closely, and was not hard acrylic. They were difficult to communicate with, seemed to be very disorganized, evasive, and clueless. They (Joe) seemed to have no record of what they had sent. When I called, they jumped to the conclusion that it was a bad impression. I’m sure it was a very good impression, I’ve done this more than a few times. For some reason, they refused to simply look at the impression themselves (they supposedly had it), and assess it. Next, they suggested I boil and adjust the guard. That is crazy if this is an acrylic guard. This relates to their cluelessness about what they sent. I ordered a custom made acrylic guard, not a guard that you boil and bite. I took good pictures, very clear, sent to them. They never did anything with the pictures to figure out the problem. It seemed like they did not know how to figure things out. They asked me to send back the non-fitting new guard, plus my old guard, but no help figuring out how to send it, totally left it up to me, and no mailing label. I had a bad feeling, but ended up sending via USPS in an envelope as they recommended after insisting Joe tell me how. The envelope came back the first time, they were wrong about the postage required. I sent again with more postage, but SWS told me they never received the guards. Next, without communicating they were going to, they sent a replacement guard. It was apparently from someone else’s impression, it fit so badly, it was the wrong angle. My guess is they lost my impression. I asked repeatedly if they had my impression, they would not give an answer. Finally, we agreed to a refund. Turned out there was a processing fee, so I didn’t get the full amount. Plus wasted an incredible amount of time trying to communicate with them, taking pictures, sending things back, emailing information to them. Finally, when we were discussing the refund, they told me the guards I mailed back WERE received, but were destroyed. I do not know what happened to this company. Like I said, three years ago things worked. But now they seem to have extreme quality and service problems for some reason.
