DHP Day/Night Mouth Guard Kit Description

Designed by a Registered Dental Hygienist, the DHP Day/Night Mouth Guard Kit is a cheap, self-fitted product. It is suitable for use in the treatment of both bruxism (teeth grinding) and TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder). The product is available in packs of two, with a vented case supplied also. The two mouth guards in each pack are slightly different sizes, enabling you to choose the one that is the most appropriate fit for your mouth size. To mold, heat the mouth guard in hot (not boiling) water and bite to register the impression of your teeth. The mouth guard provides a protective barrier between the upper and lower molars, preventing bruxism (unconscious teeth grinding) while you sleep.

111The material used in the mouth guard allows for an easy bite impression and good fit. It is made from a soft EVA (Ethylene vinyl acetate, commonly known as Vinyl) material. This is FDA-approved and contains no BPA, PVC or Latex. It can be worn with equal comfort on either the upper or lower teeth. A DHP Mouth Guard can double as a protective mouth guard for use during contact sports. It is only intended for use by adults. Please consult a pedodontist or orthodontist before using with children under the age of 12 years.

Not only will this mouth guard reduce the pain and discomfort associated with bruxism and TMJ, but it can significantly increase the lifespan of any dental implants, veneers or crowns that you may have. If carefully molded according to the instructions, this mouth guard will not slip out of your mouth during sleep.

I’ve been using custom night guards for almost ten years now, but I simply cannot afford one at the moment (I lost the last one.) I tried a few off the shelf mouth guards since I cannot sleep without a guard, and the Dental Hygiene Preferred night guard is the first one that fits me well. It is not as perfect as the custom one, but I did not really expect it, especially not for $20. It comes in a pack of two, small and big, and I tried them both. Small one used to fall out of my mouth, but the bigger one was great, after I trimmed it a bit. I am very satisfied with this guard and would gladly recommend it to all bruxers out there.

I decided to try the Dental Hygiene Preferred night guard because it had excellent reviews. I am very happy with it and the customer service was excellent too. The guard fits well and does not fall out at night. I can finally sleep well and wake up without a headache or jaw pain. Great deal.

First time I bought a Dental Hygiene Preferred night guard I made a mistake and got a regular size one at my local drugstore. It was too big and made me gag. Then I decided to try smaller size and it was perfect. For about $20 it fits right and it does not fall out of my mouth at night. I sometimes wear it during the day as well when I know that I will have a stressful day and will clench my teeth. Great value for the money.
